Fantastic Beasts:The Crimes of GrindelwaldToday marks the official opening of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, the second installment in the Fantastic Beasts film series. The film, set in J.K. Rowling’s wizarding world and directed by David Yates, stars Eddie Redmayne as magizoologist Newt Scamander, who is tasked by Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) to stop Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp), who has escaped MACUSA custody and is hell-bent on bringing the wizarding world out of the shadows to rule over non-magical beings. With the help of Auror Tina Goldstein (Katherine Waterston) and no-maj Jacob Kowalski (Dan Fogler) he must also try to save Credence Barebone (Ezra Miller), a young wizard who has become a dangerous obscurial.

Film Review: National Theatre Live's Frankenstein Encores in Select Theaters

Benedict Cumberbatch and Jonny Lee MillerThis year, just in time for Halloween, Fathom Events featured an encore presentation of both versions of NT Live’s Frankenstein on two nights only in most locations, to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Mary Shelley’s novel. The show features both Benedict Cumberbatch (BBC's Sherlock, Avengers: Infinity War) and Jonny Lee Miller (Trainspotting, Elementary) as Victor Frankenstein and his Creature, alternating roles for the second presentation as they did every other night during their original performances at the National Theatre stage in London in 2011 where the film was captured live. In most areas, on the first showing on October 22nd, Cumberbatch was featured as the Creature, with Miller on the 29th.

Displacement: A Brilliant Mind-Bender That Will Keep You Guessing

DisplacementThe award-winning sci-fi thriller, Displacement, written and directed by Kenneth Mader, follows physics student Cassie Sinclair (Courtney Hope). Cassie, who is already grieving over the death of her mother (Susan Blakey), finds herself standing over her dead boyfriend, Brian (Christopher Backus). While battling memory loss and unsure of what is real, Cassie seeks the help of Professor Deckard (Bruce Davison). Meanwhile, she also must evade a group of scientists who seem to know a lot more than they're telling, all while battling consequences caused by a quantum entanglement event.

Film Review: Atomica - A Minimalistic Sci-Fi Thriller

AtomicaTomorrow, the new film released by Syfy Films, Atomica (originally named Deep Burial), from director Dagen Merrill, premieres in select theaters. Set in the near future where America is run almost exclusively on nuclear radiation converted into usable energy, communications at a remote power plant in the desert go offline, and safety inspector Abby Dixon (Sarah Habel) volunteers to go fix the problem.

Upon arriving, it's apparent something is very wrong at the dilapidated facility. Abby, who ends up stranded, struggles to get information from the caretaker/repairman, Robinson (Dominic Monaghan), who seems to be harboring some dark secrets, while trying to find the missing lead scientist, Zek (Tom Sizemore), who has disappeared.

The Crooked ManTonight, as part of Syfy's 31 Days of Halloween, is the premiere of the horror film The Crooked Man.

During a slumber party of twelve year old girls, one of them, Olivia, who declares she isn't scared, is persuaded to sing a rhyme the girls find on the internet that is said to kill you after you sing it. Things go terribly wrong when one of the girls is killed by the demonic Crooked Man (Dmitrious Bistrevsky), and Olivia is blamed.

Six years later, when Olivia (Angelique Rivera) leaves the mental institution and tries to reclaim her life, those involved that night six years ago start to die, and she knows the Crooked Man is still after them, but will anyone believe her? She enlists the help of her friend's brother, Noah (Cameron Jebo), and they search for clues and the man who put up the website (Michael Jai White) to help stop the Crooked Man.
